| Participants Qualifying School |
The PDC Qualifying School consists of four tournaments. By Qualifying School at leat 31 Tour Cards for the PDC Pro Tour are allocated. All the semifinalsts
of the four tournaments get one, the other 15 will go to participants in Qualifying School over a special Qualifying School Point Ranking - the Qualifying
School Order of Merit.
The Tour Cards got by the Qualifying School are valid for two years. Only when you have got a Tour Card you are able to play the PDC Players Championship
in the UK.
You will not need one to be able to play Non-UK Players Championships or UK Open Qualifiers. By taking part in Qualifying School without winning a Tour Card you'll
get an "Associate Member". With associate members the field of participants of the players Championships is filled up should less of 128 Tour Card
Holders register.
To take part in the Qualifying School you have to pay a fee of 200 pound. Should you get yourself a card the money will be part of the PDPA membership fee for
the first year. You have to be at least 16 years of age.
Every dart player can take part in the Qualifying School, by taking part you are not binded in any way - but should you get a Tour Card and want to take it
you have to become a PDPA member and sign a contract with the PDC.
It is not known how the BDO will react to players who took part in the Qualifying School, failed and then want to play the BDO circuit nor what
will happen to BDO players taking part, fail and want to return to the BDO. The BDO never made a statement.

The four Tour Cards today got Belgian Kurt van de Rijck, the two BDO players Steve West and Stuart Kellet and PDC
player Michael Barnard, who was not ranked high enough in the Order of Merit to get an automatic Tour Card for this year.

Thne four Tour Cards got BDO player Dean Winstanley, Canadian Jeff Smith, the PDPA player Adrian Gray and to Andrew Gilding, who last year was under the
last 16 of the World Masters and as an amateur qualifier played the UK Open.

The four Pro Tour cards of the fourth day of the qualifying school were won by German Bernd Roith, the English players Dave Smith, Johnny Haines and Welshman Jamie Lewis.
